About Me
Using my passion and education to help my community grow stronger
I started my career in nursing homes and what I witnessed there became the foundation of everything I do today.
When COVID hit, I was working on the front lines in long-term care facilities throughout WNY. I watched residents deteriorate rapidly not just from the virus but from isolation and inactivity. I witnessed patients being told they would never be able to return home again. I watched families say goodbye over FaceTime and through windows. I kept getting stuck on the thought, this didn't have to happen this way.
The chronic conditions, frailty, the long list of medications, the inability to get up off the floor these weren't all inevitable. These were the end result of choices made, or not made, 20 or 30 years earlier. That realization is what drove me out of the nursing home and into the community.
In 2022, I founded a nonprofit organization called Home and Happy. After witnessing the lack of support within the healthcare system for older adults, I wanted to help make a change. Our mission is to keep older adults at home for as long as possible. Throughout the past 4 years we have discovered the insecurities within our community and have established two free programs. In-home therapy to complement the coverage holes of insurance based PT and donation of equipment to make moving a little easier and safer. Did you know insurance will only cover one piece of equipment after a discharge? We encourage independence, education and movement to help keep people out of nursing homes unnecessarily.
After 5 years of clinical work between long term rehab and outpatient setting I decided to venture out on my own. I had been working as a group fitness coach in a few gyms within Buffalo to fuel my love for the fitness community. In 2024, my idea for Buffalo Health and Fitness (BHF) formed. I wanted to bridge the gap between the fitness and the rehab world. I saw people injuring themselves within fitness classes and ignoring it , and I saw people avoiding the fitness world after graduating from rehab. I had a blast operating BHF for a little over 2 years in Tonawanda. We offered group classes such as Cycling, Pilates and Lift classes. I loved the supportive community we were able to build but I felt like I wasn't able to fulfill my purpose. In the summer of 2026 I decided to close down my brick and mortar location and move my one on one services to two separate locations within Buffalo.
I currently offer my individualized physical therapy and strength sessions to help people feel comfortable and confident moving their body. I also travel to other gyms within WNY to perform educational workshops and teach as many people as I can how to prepare their body for aging.
If you are someone who has been wanting to become more consistent in their fitness routine but don't know where to start, you've found your starting point right here. If you are looking for someone who is educated in every detail about how your body works, how your diagnosis affects your movement or dealing with chronic pain I'm the girl for you. If you want to avoid the expected symptoms of aging, stay independent and in your home for as long as possible, then you have found the perfect place.
